Since its formation in 2006, Prescient Wireless has been a leader in the development of power amplifiers for wireless systems. Prescient Wireless engineers have pioneered the development of high efficiency Doherty amplifiers for cellular communication systems. Since then, Doherty power amplifiers have replaced the less efficient Class AB amplifiers in almost every cellular base station manufactured today. As a pioneer in the field, Doherty power amplifiers designed by Prescient Wireless engineers are used in cellular base stations produced by four of the top Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) of cellular base stations in the world.
Prescient Wireless has developed a wide range of other power amplifiers including high efficiency linear amplifiers, pulse amplifiers for radar applications and very wide band amplifiers. Our engineers are well versed in the use of various device technologies and will select the appropriate device technology based on the specific product requirements. Prescient has developed amplifiers that utilize LDMOS (laterally diffused metal oxide semiconductor), GaAs (gallium arsenide) and GaN (gallium nitride) power devices.
